Hi all, I've had a look at the threads on the Ogre forum and I'm having the same problem re. after installing the exporter I get the following error: stlport_vc746.dll was not found.
Walaber mentions ( on the Ogre frum ) correcting this by including the relevant .dll in the downloadable .exe Is this an imminent fix ? Or does anyone have another solution for a user that doesn't have ( or know how to use ) a compiler ?
cheers all louis

Sorry to be posting about the Gile exporter here again but regarding the mising .dll's in the download i found them here
These are: msvcr71d.dll msvcp71d.dll
They can be found at dream.eng.uci.edu/sungjin/EECS123/ Place them in the top level of the Gile application folder.

A number of us are using your exporter and I personally think it's great. Will you be doing any more with it ? Such as adding a collect textures function ?
Also I've read in a post that you consider it in part unfinished, i think you said something like: " but with a bit of tweaking you can great results "
I'm wondering if you have some guidelines / notes of things to watch that are not yet as you would have them in a finnished version ? Do you have any pointers as to what to tweak ?
Exports form Gile seem fine in the OgreMeshViewer .. thanks for the application

the mesh export part works fine.. it's the code that generates the material script that is not exactly right... sometimes the results in Ogre are not exactly like in Gile. luckily the user can easily modify the material scripts for Ogre to "tweak" the results.
eventually I hope to clean up the code a bit, and release a more "complete" version, compiled in Release mode, and with a better material script generator.

Hi Walaber, thanks for the reply, I for one hope that you do get round to ironing out the .material issues. I think the combination of the Gile and OGRE is stunnng, and your software is of course the key to this. Again many thanks and I look forward to the future. By the way i was looking at you stunt game videos using your physics engine. Looks great.

Hi Walaber, I've been trying to recreate your exports using the Giles demo scenes that you used but the OgreMeshViewer is having none of it, I've resaved the TARGA files as jpg's and edited the .material script accordingly .. how did you do it ?
Also i appreciate that this forum is dedicated to your Physics engine, would you prefer me to post over at frecle.net, and do you check the postings there form time to time ? I noticed you posted just recently.
cheers louis

not sure where the best place for this would be... either the Gile forum, or the thread for my exporter on the Ogre forums...
what problems are you having exactly?
